WAEC Warns Candidates, Schools & Parents Against Patronizing Fraudsters in Ongoing 2019 WASSCE

The attention of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has been drawn to the activities of some fraudulent individuals who are out to extort money from gullible candidates in the ongoing WASSCE for School Candidates by posting on their websites cloned/photoshopped images of supposedly WASSCE question papers.

The exam body strongly warns all concerned stakeholders not to be victims of these men of the underworld.

This warning was contained in a statement made available to the media by West African Examinations Council.

It statement reads further:

We wish to advise candidates not to ruin their future by participating in the fraud as the Council has deployed a software that can detect any form of cheating, even in objective tests. Candidates are further advised to study hard for the examination as that is the only honourable way to success. Parents should, on their part ,stop patronizing the fraudsters.

”We strongly appeal to school principals, supervisors and invigilators to help the Council to enforce the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of the examination, particularly by preventing candidates from bringing foreign materials, such as cribs, cell phones and other electronic devices into the examination hall, as the penalty could be as stiff as the cancellation of candidates’ entire results.
